Beach Walk

We live within an easy drive to several great Atlantic coast beaches, one in particular, New Smyrna Beach, has been a favorite family vacation spot since I was a little girl. Along with sandcastle building, boogie boarding, and sitting plopped in a chair as the waves burying my feet, whenever I'm there, I always, always take time for a walk down the beach. Nothing clears my head or reminds me of the immensity of God's creation like shutting off the phone and striking out with my feet sloshing the shallow tide.

This painting is a visual memory of so many beach walks that have restored my soul through the years.
